The Fiat Fullback is a stylish and powerful pick-up, offering a very attractive rival to the likes of the Volkswagen Amarok and the Nissan Navara. With excellent off-road capability, the Fullback is ideal as a work vehicle, or simply for taking the family on your next big adventure. Tax regulations also mean this can be a cost-efficient alternative to a conventional company car.
The muscular styling tells you at a glance that this is a powerful vehicle, designed to travel on any terrain. The Fullback is available in the entry level SX trim or the deluxe LX edition. The SX features 16-inch alloy wheels, while the LX trim upgrades to 17-inch alloys with large body-coloured wheel arches. Bi-Xenon headlights are also fitted on the LX edition. Colours to choose from include Micalized Black, White Pearl and Metallic Titanium Grey. The loading capacity of the Fullback is up to one tonne, and the cargo bed measures 1.5 metres long, with the overall length of the vehicle being 5.2 metres.
The Fullback may be functional, but there is no shortage of luxury in the spacious cabin, with quality upholstery, ergonomic seats and air conditioning. Soundproofing ensures that you can enjoy your music without interference from road or engine noise. The higher-spec LX comes with leather heated seats which are electrically adjustable, dual-zone air conditioning and privacy glass. The elevated driving position and generous windscreen give you optimal visibility.
You can choose between a 148bhp and a 178bhp edition of the 2.4-litre diesel engine. The 178bhp edition is available with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox and has four-wheel drive fitted as standard. The 148bhp is available with manual gearbox only and has the option of either two or four-wheel drive. With manual transmission, the Fullback returns 40.9mpg and CO2 emissions are 180g/km, with up to 430Nm of torque.
Many features are provided as standard in the Fiat Fullback, including ESC, cruise control and hill-holder technology for added security when pulling away on a steep hill. The lane departure warning system alerts you with both audio and visual signals if you veer out of your lane when you are travelling at over 40mph. Trailer stability assist means that the vehicle retains its stability even when you are towing.
