The attractive Celerio is certainly worth considering if you are looking for an affordable and efficient city car. This well-equipped and bijou vehicle is available in SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4 trim lines.
The smart-looking Celerio can
be selected in one of a number of eye-catching paint finishes, such as Ablaze
Red, Cerulean Blue, Superior White and Super Black. Perfectly matching the
latter (or providing a smart contrast if you opt for a different body colour)
are black door mirrors. The car rides on 14-inch steel wheels as standard,
while SZ3 and SZ4 grades feature lightweight alloy versions. SZ4 trims also sport
a natty chrome front grille and body-coloured fixtures that include electrically
adjustable door mirrors.
The compact Celerio is a surprisingly spacious five-seat vehicle, and one that provides its driver with a telescopic steering wheel and a height-adjustable position. Other standard features include electric front windows (and rear windows with SZ4 grades) for swift access to a satisfyingly cool breeze, while SZ3 trims also include air conditioning. The car features a 254-litre boot space, which can be increased to a 726-litre capacity thanks to 60/40 split-folding rear seats.
The Celerio is installed with a peppy 1.0-litre 67bhp petrol engine, which comes as standard with SZ2 and SZ3 grades. Attached to a five-speed manual gearbox (or optional automatic transmission), this delivers up to 65.7mpg and a 99g/km CO 2 emission figure. Available with SZ3 trims as an option – or standard with SZ4 grades – is a 1.0-litre Dualjet petrol unit which is even more fuel-efficient, returning as much as 78.4mpg and emissions as low 84g/km.
For your listening pleasure, a CD player and AM/FM radio are included, as is DAB radio, which delivers a wide range of stations in crystal-clear sound quality. Bluetooth and USB connectivity, meanwhile, come as standard with SZ3 and SZ4 grades.
The Celerio is generously equipped with passive safety features such as front, side and curtain airbags, ISOFIX child-seat fixtures, child-proof locks and three-point seatbelts. A number of driver aids feature too, including Electronic Stability Programme, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Hill-hold Control, the latter preventing the vehicle from rolling uncontrolled on a slope.
