Designed to be adapted to meet your individual requirements, the Ducato Conversion chassis cab is a popular choice for a wide range of conversions. From aerial platform cab to ambulance, mobile shop to motorhome, there is huge scope for converting the Ducato chassis cab into the vehicle you need.
There is a choice of wheelbase lengths for the chassis cab, ranging from 3,000mm to 4,300mm. At the front, a smart grille with chrome trims and a large muscular bumper gives a strong, purposeful look to the Ducato, while the generous windscreen gives you excellent visibility. Additional features available include a reflecting windscreen which significantly reduces the amount of UV rays coming into the cab, front fog lights, and headlight washers. The Ducato is available in a wide choice of body colours, including metallic options Aluminium Grey, Lake Blue and Slate Grey.
The driver’s seat has an armrest for comfort on long journeys, and if you choose the dual passenger seat you will find it is fitted with a three-point central seatbelt. There is a dashboard-mounted gear stick and handbrake lever fitted on the right of the driver’s seat. This means there is no obstruction to accessing the rear from the front of the van, so it lends itself to internal conversions.
With the generous proportions of the Ducato, there is plenty of scope for adapting it into a spacious family camper. Professional fitters are easily able to convert the roomy Ducato to accommodate a family of five, with sufficient berth space as well as five forward-facing belted seats for use in transit. Equally, the interior can easily be fitted with all the emergency equipment needed for an ambulance, with suitable doors for easy access.
Fiat’s 2.3-litre MultiJet II Euro 6 engines are used in the Ducato, offering excellent fuel efficiency. The 113bhp version has 290 Nm of torque, while the 177bhp edition gives you 400 Nm of torque. The vehicle’s high quality build and durability means that service intervals are set for every 30,000 miles.
ABS with EBD is fitted as standard, and ESC includes rollover-mitigation technology and load adaptive control. Other features available include tyre pressure monitoring and Traction Plus with hill descent control, and you can also opt to add traffic sign recognition technology and a lane departure warning system.
A radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity is fitted as standard, and a touchscreen infotainment system is also available, with optional satellite navigation functionality.
