25 years since Subaru first developed the AWD crossover, the latest Outback is our safest yet. Built on the Subaru Global Platform, its sleek-yet-rugged design offers superior passenger protection, as well as advanced driver assistance and collision avoidance technology, fitted as standard.
This includes next-generation EyeSight driver assist technology, with almost twice the field of vision compared with the previous model, plus Autonomous Emergency Steering, Lane Centering Function, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Limiter functions. The Outback also offers a Driver Monitoring System, which provides a warning if a driver appears to show signs of fatigue.
The new Outback is designed to minimise blind spots, reduce line of sight obstructions and provide excellent visibility in all directions. Reversing visibility is given special attention, for additional safety in driveway situations and around busy school zones.
