The fourth-generation Madza2 is a sharp supermini with a fun side. With the addition of eye-catching good looks and a frugal engine range, one thing’s for sure: this is no ordinary compact car.
This model’s muscular body reflects Mazda’s modern KODO: Soul of Motion design language. It also bolsters your presence on the road – whether you’re hitting the city streets or the motorway. At the front the chrome-lined grille is an ultra-stylish feature that reflects the new Mazda2’s dynamic side – which is further enhanced by the daring wraparound headlights and flowing side panels. A wide selection of cool paint colours is available to really make this car your own – choose a tone to reflect your personality.
Hop on board to discover a surprisingly spacious cabin, with minimalist design and high levels of comfort. The superior build quality is exemplified by the low levels of noise and vibration in the interior – there’s no question that this is a refined space to be in. Satin-chrome detailing on the beautifully sculpted dashboard panels, along with intricate stitching, reflect the carmaker’s astute attention to detail.
The Mazda2 provides a responsive and agile performance, while keeping running costs down. Thanks to the inclusion of Mazda’s SKYACTIV Technology in the new model, its engines are more powerful and efficient than ever. If you want petrol, opt for the SKYACTIV-G in 75ps, 90ps or 115ps to achieve up to 62.8mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 105g/km. There’s also an energetic diesel option – the 105ps SKYACTIV-D. 220Nm maximum torque means it really packs a punch, even at low speeds, while also returning impressive economy and emissions of 83.1mpg and 89g/km respectively.
In addition to the new Mazda2’s high-tensile steel structure, occupants also benefit from front, side and curtain airbags as standard. Other impressive standard safety measures include dynamic stability control (DSC), emergency stop signalling (ESS), hill hold assist (HHA), and a Traction Control System (TCS) – it’s all designed to help drivers to maintain control in all situations. Lane departure warning is an optional extra. As for technology in the cabin, even entry-level SE trims are generously equipped with a trip computer and air-conditioning. Upgrade to get Bluetooth® and cruise control for enhanced convenience and comfort.
