The Ministry of Transport test (MOT) is an annual inspection required for vehicles used on the public roads once they reach three years old. Our experienced and licensed MOT Testers’ carry out an inspection of car safety, roadworthiness and exhaust emissions.
We’re here for your convenience and making arrangements to have your annual MOT test carried out couldn’t be simpler. Just call or email us and we’ll agree a date and time to carry out the inspection. It’s a service we can provide on a while-you-wait basis and, depending upon workshop schedules, we may by able to carry out a test without an appointment being made.
Our MOT Centre is licensed by The Department of Transport and VOSA (Vehicle Operators Standards Authority) to carry out MOT tests on Class 4 vehicles which includes cars, including 3-wheeled vehicles more than 450 kg unladen weight, taxis, minibuses and ambulances up to 12 passenger seats, Goods Vehicles not exceeding 3,000 kg Design Gross Weight (DGW), motor caravans and Dual Purpose Vehicles.
Due to our continuous investment in people and procedures, we embraced the changes made in 2012 when the MOT test was radically overhauled. We now issue the ‘receipt style’ plain paper certificates that also serve as a notification that a ‘pass’ has been recorded on the VOSA database. From November 2013, you’ll also find the certificate shows the vehicle’s recent mileage which has been introduced as part of a government initiative to reduce vehicle crime.
