What is a Business Contract Hire?
A business contract hire is a flexible financing solution for businesses looking to lease a car. With a contract hire car, you pay a fixed initial deposit followed by regular monthly payments over a fixed period. During the contract, the car is maintained by the leasing provider. At the end of the term, you simply return the car with no further obligations - there is no option to purchase or refinance the agreement. This option helps businesses manage cash flow, avoid depreciation risks, and keep their fleet up to date.
Why choose business contract hire?
A business contract hire agreement is one the most practical choices for companies, with key benefits including:
- Lower upfront costs compared to buying
- The ability to regularly upgrade to the latest Kia models
- Predictable monthly rentals for easier budgeting
- Maintenance packages that cover servicing and repairs
Fixed monthly payments make it easier to budget, while the option to reclaim 50% of the VAT on the finance rental is available to registered companies. This depends on the vehicle being permitted for employee private use, as you can claim 100% if its solely for business use.
How does business contract hire work?
The process of a business contract hire is straightforward and designed to fit around your needs. In just a few steps, you can arrange a contract that keeps your company moving without the risks of ownership.
1. Select your Kia model and preferred contract length, typically between 18 and 48 months
2. Choose your mileage allowance and initial upfront rental
3. Pay fixed monthly rentals for the term, including Road Fund Licence and maintenance options for an additional cost
4. Return the car at the end of the contract with no depreciation worries
All agreements include a full manufacturers warranty and comprehensive breakdown cover.
